Sonam Kapoor Ahuja is an Indian actress born on June 9, 1985. She was born to leading Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor and former model Sunita. Her acting debut was in 2007 with Sanja Leela Bhansali's romantic drama 'Saawariya'. However, her first commercially successful movie was the 2010 film 'I Hate Luv Storys'. The 2013 Anand L Rai romantic drama 'Raanjhanaa' served as a breakthrough for Kapoor. She won the Stardust Award for Best Actress in a Comedy or Romance in 2014 for her role in Shashanka Ghosh's 'Khoobsurat.' Kapoor's portrayal of Neerja Bhanot in the 2016 biographical thriller called 'Neerja' won her the National Film Award – Special Mention along with a Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress. Her notable roles were in 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag', 'Sanju', 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo', and 'Veere Di Wedding', among others. Kapoor has also endorsed numerous leading brands, including Colgate, Lux, OPPO Mobile, Mont Blanc, Electrolux, Signature, Salvatore Ferragamo, and L'Oreal, among others.
